Direct Loan Exit
Counseling
On The Web
Direct Loan exit counseling is a federal requirement for all students who
have borrowed Federal Direct Loans while enrolled at Purdue University Calumet.
Federal regulations require that loan counseling take place each time a student
drops below 6 credit hours, stops attending school or graduates.
You may now satisfy the Direct Loan exit counseling requirement on-line by
reading information about Direct Loans and passing a brief quiz. It should take
approximately 20 minutes to read the information and take the quiz.
To complete Direct Loan exit counseling on-line, click below and follow the
instructions. When you have successfully passed the quiz, please print the ‘Borrower Information’
page and the ‘Rights and Responsibilities Summary Check List’. Complete all information
requested, sign and date, and submit the form to: Office of Financial Aid,
Lawshe Hall, Room 130, Purdue University Calumet,
2200 169th Street, Hammond, IN, 46323. The federal code for Purdue University Calumet
requested during the process is: 001827. Please note that if you are
scheduled to graduate, a hold may be placed on your Academic Transcript until
the Direct Loan exit counseling requirement has been satisfied.
Please note that you are only able to perform the Direct Loan on-line exit
counseling session if you have received the appropriate Personal Identification
Number (PIN) from the U.S. Department of Education. If you have not yet
received the PIN, you may request one by entering the Direct Loan on-line exit
