A Tuition Break for Non-Resident Students

On behalf of the Purdue University Calumet community, I invite you to take advantage of our Enrollment Incentive Award program for out-of-state residents. We're offering selected students the opportunity to pursue a bachelor's degree on our campus at in-state tuition rates for courses in your degree program .

At Purdue Calumet, you'll have the opportunity to pursue a Big Ten education on a comfortable scale. We offer flexible schedules, a compact campus with secure parking, excellent computer facilities, on campus child care, small classes, and a wide range of bachelor's degree programs.

Eligibility Criteria

    1. You must be approved for the Enrollment Incentive Award prior to registering for courses at Purdue University Calumet and must be a first-time student at Purdue Calumet. The Office of Admissions processes this approval.
    2. Be able to transfer to Purdue University Calumet 60 credits applicable toward your intended baccalaureate degree program.
    3. Be admitted directly into this baccalaureate degree program.
    4. Have a B average in your prior college course work.

Award Guidelines

    1. The Award applies only to tuition for 300 and 400 level courses in your baccalaureate degree program.
    2. The Award recipient must take at least nine (9) credits per semester.
    3. The Award applies to the Fall and Spring Semesters only.
    4. The Award recipient must be continuously enrolled in the Fall and Spring Semesters with no break in enrollment for the duration of the program. Nonenrollment in the Summer Semester does not constitute a break in enrollment.

Award Amount

    The Enrollment Incentive Award covers the difference between the out-of-state tuition and the tuition for Indiana residents. For 1996-97, the value to you of this programs exceeds $1000.00 per semester.

Continued Eligibility Criteria

    1. Must maintain a cumulative GPA of B (3.0) in degree program courses at Purdue University Calumet.
    2. Must be continuously enrolled in the Fall and Spring Semesters.
      (See Award Guideline No. 4 above.)

Award Period

    The Award is limited to four (4) consecutive semesters of enrollment.

    The University can only offer a limited number of Awards each semester. The University may discontinue the award Program at any time. Should the program be discontinued awards will cease for the current program participants, i.e. there is no guaranteed entitlement of an award for four (4) enrollment periods.
