 Step 1 Complete
an Application
Undergraduate Admissions: Admission is
required before registering for Purdue Calumet credit courses. Visit Lawshe Hall,
room 130 or call (219) 989-2213 for more information. You can choose various entry
paths into course work.
Step 2 Obtain a permit to register
Once you have been admitted, pick up your permit-to-register in the Enrollment
Services Center in Lawshe Hall, room 130. Look for your advisor's name and phone
number on the permit. Also the assigned day and time you are allowed to register is
printed at the top, right hand corner of the permit. Students are urged to register
during our Early Registration period.
Step 3 Make an appointment with your academic
advisor
Phone first. Your advisor will assist with
the selection of courses. Fill out the course request card and secure your advisor's
signature on this card.
Step 4 Register for Classes
Now
that you have completed the first three steps you are now ready to register for classes.
Arrive at the Enrollment Services Center in Lawshe Hall, room 130, on your
assigned
day with your permit and completed course request card.
Step 5 Receive a statement of classes
Once you have registered for classes you will receive a printed
statement of classes. This statement will list the courses you selected and the
total amount due. A payment instruction sheet will also be made available.
Withdrawal from Courses
In order to officially withdraw from a course, students must submit a
properly signed Add/Drop card to the Office of the Registrar (Enrollment
Services Center - Lawshe Hall 130). Courses may be dropped only during the
first twelve weeks of a semester (first six weeks of a summer semester).

Consult the University
Calendar or check with the Office of the Registrar to
determine the Exact withdrawal dates during a semester. A
detailed schedule of the refund policy may be obtained from the Office of the
Bursar.
NOTE: By not attending classes, you have not
officially withdrawn from your classes at Purdue University Calumet. You
must follow the withdrawal procedure outlined above to be officially withdrawn
from a course. Failure to do so could result in you getting a failing
grade in the class.
